Wind & Rain..............not today!

Sunny spells, 6º, moderate SW breeze, chilly in the wind.

A walk out to Lollingdon, still good numbers of Thrushes around with a flock of 3-400 Fieldfare, Redwing and Starling feeding in the fields along with a few Song Thrush and Blackbirds. The hill was fairly quiet with a 3 Red Kite, a Buzzard and a single Meadow Pipit present and 2 Raven flew south over the hill, the usual flock of c100 Lapwing and several hundred gulls present nearby.

Other species noted were Yellowhammer, Reed Bunting, Pied Wagtail and Great-spotted Woodpecker drumming.

3+ Bullfinch still present in the millennium wood area and 100+ Black-headed Gulls present around the playing fields with the odd Lesser Blackback Gull.

A Sparrowhawk whipped through the garden late afternoon but did not take anything.

A Song Thrush regular in the garden and in song most mornings, also up to 6 House Sparrow frequently in the garden now, Blackcap, Moorhen and 2 Stock Dove regular. A flock of 8 Long-tailed Tits visiting for the last 2 days and a Green Woodpecker in the meadow early morning.

 Bullfinch

 Meadow Pipit
A couple of Roe Deer with a Magpie flypast
