Not a lot happening today.

Overcast, 10º, fresh SSW chilly wind.

A visit to the hill today showed not a lot happening, a fresh chilly wind blowing on to the south face put paid to any small passerines being on that side of the hill, a Kestrel and 5 Red Kite enjoying the updraft and one of the kites carrying a piece of wood or bone?.

6 singing Robins on the hill and look to be holding territories, fewer winter thrushes around today with barely 50 of each Fieldfare and Redwing and a few Greenfinch, Goldfinch and Chaffinch on the northerly side of the hill and a couple of Skylark singing nearby.

Fewer Gulls now loafing around the floods near the pig fields and all were Lesser Blackback Gulls.

A Mistle Thrush and a Song Thrush singing in the meadow this morning and the Wren still starting up around 04:30 in the mornings. The Blackcap still visiting and a pair of Mallard coming in early morning.
